Visiting Scholar no Departament of Economics/University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign/EUA, 1988-1989, Fleming Visiting Fellow in Economics no Centre for Brazilian Studies/University of Oxford/RU, 2001, Visiting Professor na The Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics/Washington and Lee University/EUA, 2015, 2017 e 2019, e Visting Professor na Meiji University/Japan, 2017, 2021 e 2022. Co-editor and author of some books and author and co-author of articles published in Brazilian and international journals. He focuses his researches in the following subjects: Post Keynesian Theory, Open Economy Macroeconomics (Stabilization and Growth), Currency and Financial Crises and International Monetary System.
